Practical overview
When it fits
Use the package when a Solidity integration needs Dev Protocol interfaces; use the repository setup instructions when developing the protocol’s contracts.
Who it is for
- Solidity developers integrating Dev Protocol contract interfaces into their own contracts.
- Developers working on Dev Protocol’s smart contracts.
Documented uses
- Import Dev Protocol contract interfaces into a Solidity project.
- Read contract addresses exposed through AddressConfig.
- Check whether an address belongs to a PropertyGroup using the documented interface pattern.
- Install dependencies and generate contracts when setting up the repository.
Requirements & limits
The repository is public and open source under the MPL-2.0 license.
- The package’s documented interface paths are under
contracts/interface/. - The README lists mainnet and Ropsten AddressConfig references.
- The repository setup uses Yarn and includes a contract-generation command.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Install and import Dev Protocol interfaces
Add the package to a project and import its documented Solidity interfaces.
Before you start
- A project that can install npm packages.
- A Solidity source file.
Steps
Install the package with the command below.
npm i -D @devprotocol/protocolImport
IAddressConfigorIPropertyGroupfrom the package’s contracts/interface paths.Use the interfaces in Solidity code; the README example obtains PropertyGroup through AddressConfig and checks an address with
isGroup.
Expected outcome
The project can reference Dev Protocol’s documented contract interfaces from Solidity.
Guide limitations
- The example shows interface use and address validation logic, not contract deployment.
- The listed network addresses should be checked against current project materials before use.
Set up the contract repository
Install dependencies and generate the repository’s contracts.
Before you start
- Git
- Yarn
Steps
Clone
https://github.com/dev-protocol/protocol.git.Change into the
protocoldirectory.Run
yarnto install dependencies.Run
yarn generateto compile each contract.
Expected outcome
The repository dependencies are installed and the documented contract-generation step has been run.
Guide limitations
- The documented setup steps do not describe deployment.
