Practical overview
When it fits
Choose DAEMON when Solana project editing, terminal work and Claude Code sessions belong in one desktop environment, and you want review gates around writes and sensitive operations.
Who it is for
- Solana developers who want an AI agent alongside their project files and terminal.
- Builders who want to review proposed code changes and sensitive actions before approval.
Documented uses
- Inspect Solana project files and Git context from a project-focused workbench.
- Edit and save code in an offline Monaco editor.
- Run project-scoped terminal sessions and Claude Code agents in dedicated tabs.
- Use optional wallet and on-chain tools with explicit confirmation for sensitive actions.
Requirements & limits
The canonical packaged release is Windows-only. The documented source build for development requires Node.js 22 or later and pnpm 9 or later. The repository declares an MIT license.
- Claude Code agents run as CLI sessions in dedicated terminal tabs; the README describes bring-your-own-key models.
- The editor operates offline, while project-scoped PTY sessions provide terminal access.
- Code writes pause for approval; the console does not push to Git autonomously.
- Wallet addresses are watch-only by default, and sensitive on-chain actions use typed confirmation.
- ARIA Game Studio Beta creates local Phaser projects with Solana stubs; it does not connect a live wallet or deploy on-chain.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
