Practical overview
When it fits
Consider it when a Unity project needs one of the listed text-to-image or image-to-image pipelines and the team can work with the required Sentis fork and experimental package status.
Who it is for
- Unity developers adding pretrained diffusion image generation to an application or interactive feature.
- Teams evaluating Stable Diffusion-based text-to-image or image-to-image workflows inside Unity.
Documented uses
- Generate images from text prompts using listed supported models.
- Transform input images with the listed image-to-image pipeline.
- Integrate asynchronous sliced inference into a Unity image-generation workflow.
Requirements & limits
- Installation instructions require a custom Unity Sentis fork.
- The README lists com.doji.transformers and com.doji.pngcs as dependencies.
- Text-to-image and image-to-image are listed; inpainting, upscaling and depth-to-image are not marked supported.
- Asynchronous sliced-inference methods are listed.
- The repository specifies an MIT license.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Add com.doji.diffusers to a Unity project
Install the package through Unity Package Manager using the documented OpenUPM registry and Sentis fork.
Before you start
- A Unity project with access to Unity Package Manager.
Steps
In Edit > Project Settings > Package Manager, add a scoped registry named Doji with URL https://package.openupm.com and scope com.doji.
In Package Manager, install com.doji.diffusers by name or select it under My Registries.
In Package Manager, choose Install package from git URL and enter https://github.com/julienkay/com.unity.sentis.git for the required custom Sentis fork.
Expected outcome
The documented package and its required custom Sentis fork are added through Unity Package Manager.
Guide limitations
- The README describes the package as experimental and not production-ready.
- The README lists com.doji.transformers and com.doji.pngcs as dependencies.
- This setup guide does not cover running a generation pipeline.
