Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when a Claude Code session is working in an Elixir/Phoenix project and the task benefits from domain-specific guidance, a structured plan, automated verification or specialist review.
Who it is for
- Developers working in Elixir/Phoenix projects who use Claude Code.
- Teams seeking structured planning, implementation, verification or parallel review workflows for LiveView and related Elixir code.
Documented uses
- Plan a feature by having parallel research agents analyze an existing codebase.
- Implement a planned change with verification during the work.
- Review code across idioms, tests, security and compilation.
- Investigate bugs and run project health audits.
- Capture development learnings as reusable knowledge.
Requirements & limits
The Claude Code edition requires Claude Code CLI 2.1.110 or newer and an Elixir/Phoenix project. The repository lists an MIT license.
- The documented full plugin targets Claude Code; generated editions for other runtimes intentionally differ in agents, hooks, MCP and other capabilities.
- Tidewave is optional and listed for runtime debugging; Tidewave MCP registration is external for some generated editions.
- The plugin’s review workflow describes checks for idioms, tests, security and compilation; these are workflow capabilities, not a guarantee that code is correct.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
