Practical overview

When it fits

Use it when working in Claude Code or Codex and you want a defined workflow for a particular development task, especially when the scope, allowed changes and evidence of completion should be explicit.

Who it is for

  • Developers using Claude Code or OpenAI Codex who want task-specific workflows for software work.
  • Teams or individuals who need distinct skills for planning, implementation, architecture, review or delivery.

Documented uses

  • Assess a product opportunity and shape requirements or interaction design.
  • Document an existing architecture, propose system changes, record a decision or plan a migration.
  • Turn requirements and repository evidence into ordered delivery plans and test strategies.
  • Implement a scoped code fix or feature, or use workflows for upgrades, simplification and performance work.
  • Review code or plans, diagnose incidents, and guide authorized publication or deployment.

Requirements & limits

The project is described as open source under the MIT license and is distributed as plugins for Claude Code and OpenAI Codex.

  • The plugins operate within Claude Code or OpenAI Codex; the documented setup is command-based.
  • Each skill works independently, and the catalog groups plugins by task outcome.
  • Workflows define what to check, what they may change and how to report evidence and remaining gaps.
  • Some skills only document, plan or review; check each skill’s stated boundary before choosing it.
  • Optional shared personal instructions require personalization and merging into existing configuration; plugin installation does not change global instructions.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Install and invoke the implementation plugin

Add the implementation-suite plugin to Claude Code or Codex, then invoke a named skill with a task.

Before you start

  • Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.
  • The project’s GitHub repository identifier: levnikolaevich/claude-code-skills.

Steps

  1. In Claude Code, add the marketplace with /plugin marketplace add levnikolaevich/claude-code-skills.

  2. In Claude Code, install implementation-suite@levnikolaevich-skills-marketplace and run /reload-plugins; or, in Codex, add the marketplace with codex plugin marketplace add levnikolaevich/claude-code-skills and add implementation-suite@levnikolaevich-skills-marketplace.

  3. Invoke a skill by its full name: /implementation-suite:ln-41-surgical-change-implementer in Claude Code or $ln-41-surgical-change-implementer in Codex, followed by the task.

Expected outcome

The implementation plugin is installed in the selected agent, and a named skill is invoked with a task description.

Guide limitations

  • The instructions document plugin installation and invocation, not a successful run or result.
  • The example skill is for a scoped feature or fix; the catalog assigns other task types to other plugins.
