- The repository quick start documents local backend and UI startup on Windows and Linux.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Start BotSharp and its admin UI locally
Launch the backend and separate admin interface using the repository’s documented Windows or Linux quick-start steps.
Before you start
- A Windows or Linux environment.
- The BotSharp repository and .NET tooling for running the project.
- The separate BotSharp-UI repository, with npm available to install dependencies and start its development server.
Steps
Clone the BotSharp repository and change into its directory.
On Windows, run
dotnet run --project .\src\WebStarter\WebStarter.csproj -p SolutionName=BotSharp; on Linux, rundotnet run --project ./src/WebStarter/WebStarter.csproj -p SolutionName=BotSharp.Clone the BotSharp-UI repository and change into that directory.
Run the command below, then the command below in the UI project.
npm installnpm run devOpen
http://localhost:5015/.
Expected outcome
The documented local startup path for the backend and admin UI, with the interface at localhost:5015.
Guide limitations
- The instructions describe local startup, not production deployment.
- The steps do not specify configuration for a particular model provider.
