Svelte Kit Ethers Template

Svelte Kit Ethers Template is a TypeScript boilerplate for building Ethereum dApp frontends with SvelteKit, TailwindCSS and Ethers. It includes configurable JSON-RPC providers, connection methods for MetaMask and other injected wallets and WalletConnect, stores for wallet and chain information, and an example of synchronizing smart-contract state in the frontend with ether-state.

Understand the project

Practical overview

When it fits

Use it when starting an Ethereum dApp frontend in SvelteKit and you want a ready-made structure for RPC configuration, wallet connections and an example of contract-state syncing.

Who it is for

  • Developers building browser-based Ethereum dApps with SvelteKit and TypeScript.
  • Frontend developers who need wallet and chain information or contract-backed state in an interface.

Documented uses

  • Configure RPC endpoints and network providers for Ethereum calls.
  • Connect MetaMask or another injected wallet, or use WalletConnect.
  • Read connection status, account address, provider and chain information through supplied stores.
  • Use the included ether-state example as a starting point for synchronizing smart-contract state in a frontend.
Before you choose

Requirements & limits

  • The template uses TypeScript, SvelteKit, TailwindCSS and Ethers.
  • Networks and RPC endpoints are configured in ./src/lib/config.ts; an RPC endpoint is needed for on-chain calls.
  • Wallet methods cover MetaMask or other injected wallets and WalletConnect.
  • A SvelteKit adapter for the intended target is required before following the README’s production-build steps.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Set up the template and start its development server

Install the project dependencies, configure a network RPC endpoint, and launch the development server.

Before you start

  • The template repository
  • Yarn
  • An RPC provider endpoint, or the default endpoint shown in the README

Steps

  1. Install dependencies with yarn.

  2. Set the rpcUrl parameter in ./src/lib/config.ts to your chosen endpoint; configure the network in the NETWORKS list.

  3. Start the development server with yarn dev.

Expected outcome

The project’s development server is started with a configured RPC endpoint for on-chain calls.

Guide limitations

  • This guide describes the documented setup steps; it does not verify successful execution.
