Understand the project

Practical overview

When it fits

Use it when you want a configurable script for automated buying of newly available Solana pairs and can manage the required RPC and wallet settings.

Who it is for

  • Solana traders who want to configure automated purchases of new token pairs.
  • Developers or operators comfortable managing a server-side script, RPC credentials and wallet secret keys.

Documented uses

  • Configure SOL allocation, Jito tip, minimum balance, retry count and purchase delay.
  • Filter tokens by liquidity and holder concentration, and enable checks for mintable or freezable tokens.
  • Set symbol filters, a sniper-list refresh interval and optional Telegram bot credentials.
Before you choose

Requirements & limits

The repository is public and identified as open source. Its primary language is TypeScript, and the project is described as a server-oriented script.

  • The setup requires RPC endpoints and provider credentials; Shyft API-key integration is shown.
  • The configuration uses a wallet secret key, so handling that credential is part of operating the script.
  • Jito tips and SOL purchase amounts are configurable parameters; the README gives example values.
  • Rug-check controls are individually configurable, including checks that can be switched off.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Configure Solana sniper trading and screening parameters

Set RPC and wallet configuration, purchase settings, and token screening options for the bot.

Before you start

  • RPC provider credentials; Shyft API keys are supported.
  • A wallet secret key.
  • Telegram API credentials only if configuring Telegram bot integration.

Steps

  1. Set RPC_WEBSOCKET_ENDPOINT and RPC_ENDPOINT to your provider endpoints; the README gives Shyft URL examples.

  2. Set SNIPER_SECRET_KEY to your wallet secret key.

  3. Choose purchase values such as BUY_AMOUNT_SOL, JITO_TIP_AMOUNT, MIN_SOL_REQUIRED, MAX_BUY_RETRIES, and BUY_DELAY.

  4. Set liquidity and holder limits, then choose rug-check toggles such as ENABLE_RUG_CHECKS and CHECK_TOP10_HOLDERS_PERCENTAGE.

  5. Optionally configure SNIPE_LIST_REFRESH_INTERVAL and TOKEN_SYMBOL_FILTER, or fill in the Telegram bot fields for Telegram integration.

Expected outcome

The README-described configuration covers RPC access, wallet integration, purchase behavior, screening filters, and optional list or Telegram settings.

Guide limitations

  • Configuration does not guarantee protection from rug pulls or successful trades.
  • The wallet secret key and provider credentials are sensitive; the README provides no security-handling instructions.
