Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when building a Kotlin or Java application that needs exchange API connections for market data or trading operations, rather than a ready-made trading screen.
Who it is for
- Kotlin and Java developers building cryptocurrency market-data clients
- Developers integrating exchange REST operations, including limit-order placement, into their applications
Documented uses
- Subscribe to public trade-tick or order-book data through exchange WebSockets.
- Connect to exchange REST APIs for trading operations such as placing a limit order.
- Use data from multiple listed exchanges as inputs to a market-data collector or custom arbitrage-monitoring logic.
Requirements & limits
The public GitHub repository specifies an Apache-2.0 license. The README documents Maven dependency setup through JitPack.
- The README distinguishes public WebSocket market features from private REST access; its order example supplies access and secret keys.
- Exchange support is presented as a per-exchange list, and entries have differing version labels; some are marked deprecated or accompanied by a warning about unofficial endpoints.
- The README provides a Maven/JitPack setup and Kotlin and Java examples.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
