Requirements & limits

The repository is public and licensed under MIT.

  • Paper summaries, datasets and tools are organized as separate repository sections.
  • Conference groupings are available for NIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, ACL and AAAI.
  • Contributing uses GitHub Issues and the repository’s Issue template; broader content changes are directed through pull requests.

Source-based practical guide

Submit a machine-learning paper summary

Add a paper summary to the arXivTimes repository using its Issue-based contribution process.

Before you start

  • A GitHub account with permission to create an Issue in the repository.
  • The paper title, paper link, authors and affiliations, and submission date.

Steps

  1. Create an Issue in the repository for the paper.

  2. Use the paper title as the Issue title and follow the Issue template.

  3. Include a concise summary, the paper link, authors and affiliations, and the submission date in yyyy/MM/dd format; include the conference name and year if applicable.

  4. If adding more detail, assign yourself to the Issue. Add comments with reading notes or questions, and report conference acceptance in a comment.

Expected outcome

The paper summary is recorded as an Issue and can be reflected in a conference project if its acceptance is reported.

Guide limitations

  • The README says labels are currently assigned only by contributors; submitters may request them but cannot apply them directly.
  • The repository provides a process for submitting summaries, not a guarantee of review or acceptance.
