Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when you want to perform documented Solana wallet tasks through a numbered terminal menu rather than a graphical wallet interface.
Who it is for
- Solana users who want self-custody wallet actions in a terminal interface.
- Users comfortable installing and launching a Bash-based command-line application.
Documented uses
- Receive and send SOL and tokens.
- Display and transfer NFTs.
- Generate mnemonic or vanity wallets and switch among available wallets.
- Stake SOL or configure a custom RPC.
- Access Jupiter swaps and transfers using Jito.
Requirements & limits
The project is available as a public GitHub repository under the GPL-3.0 license. Windows use requires WSL2 according to its setup guide.
- The interface is a terminal menu written in Shell, not a graphical wallet.
- The setup guide specifies macOS and Linux, with Windows supported through WSL2.
- Jupiter swaps and SOL, SPL-token and NFT transfers are described with Jito.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
