Practical overview
When it fits
Use Synapse when a Solana DeFi analysis task benefits from separate on-chain and market specialists whose results are then combined by an executor.
Who it is for
- Developers building or operating multi-agent workflows for Solana DeFi analysis.
- Teams that want to separate on-chain data collection from market interpretation before synthesizing suggested actions.
Documented uses
- Route a DeFi request to only the relevant specialist agents.
- Collect pool and token data alongside market indicators such as funding rates and price trends.
- Combine specialist outputs into a ranked action plan with confidence scores.
- Monitor agent invocations, tool-call counts, timings and executor output through the local dashboard.
- Extend the agent registry with a custom specialist.
Requirements & limits
The repository is public and identifies an MIT license. The documented setup requires an Anthropic API key and a Helius API key.
- The router selects a minimum set of agents for each task rather than dispatching every specialist by default.
- Agents receive earlier outputs as context, allowing the executor to synthesize results without repeating the specialists’ data-gathering work.
- A confidence threshold can exclude the executor when the router judges the task ambiguous.
- The documented dashboard runs locally at port 3000 while the orchestrator is active.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Set up Synapse and its local dashboard
Install the project dependencies, configure the required API keys and start the development server.
Before you start
- Bun 1.2
- Anthropic API key
- Helius API key
Steps
Clone the repository and change into its directory.
Run
bun install.Copy
.env.exampleto.envand add the required API keys.Run
bun run devand openhttp://localhost:3000.
Expected outcome
The development server starts with the dashboard available at localhost:3000.
Guide limitations
- The guide documents setup and starting the development server; it does not verify that an analysis task completes.
- A Solana RPC URL is configurable and defaults to Helius mainnet.
Compare options for Agent orchestration
These projects document a common task and share a project role. This is a source-based comparison, not an execution benchmark or a guarantee of interchangeability.
