Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when a PHP application needs REST-based exchange integration and a common parameter or result format, while retaining a route to exchange-native parameters for special requirements.
Who it is for
- PHP developers integrating cryptocurrency exchange operations into applications.
- Teams building trading or market-data services that need a shared interface across exchange APIs.
Documented uses
- Initialize a client for a selected supported exchange.
- Submit spot buy or sell operations using shared parameters or exchange-native inputs.
- Normalize trading results and system-error fields across integrations.
- Configure request options such as timeout, proxy and cURL settings.
Requirements & limits
The repository is public and declares an MIT license. Composer installation is documented.
- The SDK documents REST requests only and does not support WebSocket.
- Buy and sell calls wait two seconds by default for a result query; the README shows how to disable that query.
- Unified parameters use a leading underscore; native exchange parameters are also supported.
- Private initialization takes credentials, with additional values shown for some exchanges.
- Composer is the documented installation method.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Install the SDK and initialize an exchange
Add the package with Composer and initialize a public or credentialed exchange client.
Before you start
- PHP project using Composer.
- Exchange identifier; credentials and any exchange-specific values, such as a passphrase or account ID, for private initialization.
Steps
Run
composer require linwj/exchangesin the project.Create an
Exchangesinstance with an exchange identifier, such asbinance, bitmex, okexorhuobi. For private initialization, pass the credentials and any documented exchange-specific values to the constructor.
Expected outcome
A PHP SDK instance initialized for the selected exchange, using public initialization or the documented private-credential pattern.
Guide limitations
- This setup guide does not establish that an exchange account, credentials or trading permissions are available.
- The README says the SDK supports REST requests only; WebSocket is not supported.
