Practical overview
When it fits
Use Polyterm when you want a terminal watch session for one Polymarket market and need its quotes, lagged prints, resolution state or service status in one display.
Who it is for
- People who want to follow Polymarket market data from a terminal.
- Users who want a read-only view of a configured wallet’s lagged position in the selected market.
Documented uses
- Watch a selected market’s best bid and ask, including available quote size.
- Review lagged fills from the Data API and the number seen in the current session.
- Check available UMA or resolution flags and whether Gamma and CLOB are both down.
- View a configured wallet’s lagged Data API position for the selected market.
Requirements & limits
The project documents installation from GitHub main using pipx and says PyPI is decommissioned. Python 3.8 or later is listed as a requirement.
- The watch session follows one market at a time.
- Data API prints and wallet positions are lagged; they are not live CLOB fills.
- Order-book REST fallback and stale WebSocket conditions receive explicit labels.
- The application is read-only and does not place orders.
- The README lists both a CLI and a TUI, while the documented install-and-watch example uses the CLI.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
