Practical overview

When it fits

Use it when a website’s browser requests can support a repeatable data or API workflow, and you want a generated typed client rather than manually assembling requests from DevTools.

Who it is for

  • Developers who want reusable clients for endpoints observed during website browsing.
  • People who need to inspect HAR traffic and document website requests and patterns.
  • Users who want an agent to navigate a site toward a stated data-gathering goal.

Documented uses

  • Capture requests generated while interacting with a website.
  • Generate an API client from observed endpoint traffic in a selected programming language.
  • Regenerate a client using a previous capture.
  • Collect structured JSON or CSV data using the collector mode’s web search and fetch.

Requirements & limits

The project is a public GitHub repository licensed under MIT. Its README specifies Python 3.11 or later and supported installation platforms of Linux, Apple Silicon macOS and 64-bit Windows.

  • Manual mode uses a local Playwright browser and requires the optional manual extra plus Chromium; agent mode uses browser tooling launched through npx and needs no extra Python packages.
  • Chrome MCP drives a real Chrome session and requires Chrome 146+ and Node.js 20.19+.
  • The configured model reads captured HAR traffic to produce the client; output language is configurable.
  • The documented workflow generates client files, including a README and example usage, in an output directory.
