Morpho Blue Oracles

Morpho Blue Oracles is a public Solidity repository containing oracle contracts that implement Morpho Blue’s IOracle interface and provide collateral-token prices quoted in loan-token units. Its MorphoChainlinkOracleV2 implementation uses Chainlink-interface-compliant feeds, including multi-feed paths and exchange-rate handling for supported asset arrangements.

Understand the project

Practical overview

When it fits

Use it when a Morpho Blue market needs a Solidity oracle that returns collateral prices in the loan asset and the required data can be assembled from Chainlink-interface-compliant feeds.

Who it is for

  • Solidity developers integrating price data with Morpho Blue markets.
  • Teams configuring collateral-to-loan-token valuation for DeFi lending markets.
  • Builders creating monitoring or risk tooling that consumes Morpho Blue oracle prices.

Documented uses

  • Provide a Morpho Blue market with collateral-to-loan-token price data.
  • Translate Chainlink-interface-compliant feed arrangements into the Morpho Blue IOracle interface.
  • Configure price relationships involving direct, inverse or intermediary feed paths.
  • Represent an exchange rate between wstETH and stETH through the documented adapter.
Before you choose

Requirements & limits

The repository is public and licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later. Its developer notes use Foundry commands for dependency installation and tests. The repository documents Ethereum deployments and mentions the factory as deployed on Ethereum and Base.

  • The integration must implement the Morpho Blue IOracle pricing convention.
  • The available feed arrangement must support the required direct, inverse or intermediary path.
  • Vault-backed assets require conversion samples and decimals for the underlying asset rather than the vault token.
  • The documented deployment path uses MorphoChainlinkOracleV2Factory and requires a unique salt.
  • The repository is Solidity-based and licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Configure a MorphoChainlinkOracleV2 deployment

Prepare the documented parameters for creating an oracle through the MorphoChainlinkOracleV2Factory.

Before you start

  • A Morpho Blue market integration context.
  • Base and quote asset or vault addresses.
  • Chainlink-interface-compliant feed addresses.
  • Conversion samples for any ERC4626 vaults.
  • Underlying-asset decimal values and a unique salt.

Steps

  1. Identify the base and quote assets and determine whether either is represented by an ERC4626 vault.

  2. Provide the base and quote vault addresses, using the zero address where the examples indicate no vault.

  3. Set the corresponding vault conversion samples and Chainlink-interface-compliant feed addresses.

  4. Enter the decimal precision of each underlying asset, not the decimals of an ERC4626 vault token.

  5. Provide a unique salt for deterministic oracle address creation and call createMorphoChainlinkOracleV2 through the factory.

Expected outcome

A parameter set and factory call structure for creating a MorphoChainlinkOracleV2 oracle.

Guide limitations

  • The repository documents the required parameters and example values but does not establish that a new deployment has been executed here.
  • Feed availability and suitability for a particular asset pair must be established separately.
  • The documented warning about underlying-asset decimals applies to vault-backed assets.
