OPENVIST POLICY

A minimal approach to browser storage.

OpenViST uses essential browser storage for core functions and can use consent-gated Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful.

Essential storage

Essential cookies or similar browser storage may be set when required for signing in, maintaining an account session, protecting forms, preventing abuse, remembering a privacy choice or operating WordPress and HivePress securely. These functions cannot always work without the relevant storage.

Optional analytics

If OpenViST activates Google Analytics, the Google tag remains unloaded until you select Accept analytics. After consent, Google Analytics may process page interactions, device and browser information, approximate location and online identifiers to produce audience and usage statistics. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and Google Signals are disabled by OpenViST’s integration. Analytics is not required to use the directory.

Your choice

You can accept or reject optional analytics with equal prominence. Your choice is stored for up to six months and can be reopened using . Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. You may also remove browser storage in your browser settings; blocking essential storage may prevent account features from working.

Browser Tools

The local browser utilities do not use cookies or persistent browser storage to save submitted text, selected file contents or processing results. Tool inputs stay in the browser and are cleared from the interface on reload. The website-wide essential storage and optional analytics choices above still apply.

External websites

Following a link to an official website takes you to an independent service that may set its own cookies. OpenViST does not control storage set after you leave openvist.com.

Learn and hosted tools

The current Learn lessons do not store learning progress in cookies or browser storage. The hosted Link Auditor uses the site account session and anti-abuse controls; the essential storage and optional analytics choices described above still apply. It is not a browser-only input-processing utility.
